Real Cases That Made a Difference
Case Study 1: A 65-year-old man suffering from chronic lower back pain was recommended for a lumbar arthrodesis (spinal fusion)—a major surgery presented to him as his only option. Upon seeking a second opinion through our network, the medical panel concluded that surgery was not clinically indicated and that imaging findings alone did not justify such an invasive procedure. Instead, a conservative treatment plan focused on targeted physical rehabilitation was implemented. The patient made a highly favorable recovery without ever needing to go under the knife.
Case Study 2: A 48-year-old woman with a recurrent herniated disc and isolated pain at the L4 level was evaluated by two different specialists. A spine surgeon proposed a spinal fusion with instrumentation, while a pain specialist recommended neuromodulation without surgery.
